As some of you may know, twice a year, I transform into hair stylist/ make up artist/ photographer for this gal, Payton. Payton is my youngest cousin & she holds a very special place in my heart. I don’t remember a lot of things from my childhood but I can still remember vividly the day my dad told me Payton was going to be born. At age 7, I couldn’t contain my excitement- I remember sitting at Betsy’s counter so antsy I didn’t think we could get to the hospital fast enough to meet my new best friend!
and now look at her…
17 beautiful years later & I couldn’t be more proud of the amazing woman she’s become. As I write this blog post I’m trying to remember my favorite past time with her and there are so many- we’ve laughed together, cried over boys, I taught her how to put on make up, we lived together….. everything. As we approach the middle of her senior year at Francis Scott Key High School I can honestly say I’m a little sad she will be moving to South Carolina for college but I cannot wait to see all the things she will accomplish on her own! She truly is the little sister I never had and I thank God for giving Payton to our family. She has such a loving heart & I cannot wait for her to stand next to me as my Maid of Honor when I say I do…
