Hi friends & happy FRIDAY! Meet Nick & Ali! These two are tying the knot this fall at Magnolia Plantation and to say I’m excited for their wedding would be a huge understatement. I met up with Nick and Ali last week to capture their engagement portraits around downtown Charleston- Mother Nature (as always) loves to give me a hard time so it started down pouring right before their session began. We decided to give it a go anyways and they KILLED their session (And they did it with the biggest smiles on their faces).
Nick proposed to Ali while they were visiting their friends in Texas – As Ali told me, “We were flying there for the long weekend to meet their new son, Luke. It was an ordinary Saturday afternoon when Alyssa explained to me that they had prior commitments with out-of-town family for dinner. Nick and I decided to go grab drinks and wait until they we’re finished. Then, overlooking the edge of the restaurant’s balcony, I saw Jay Dee and Alyssa driving a boat with a huge sign that read “Ali, will you marry me?” Once it finally registered, I looked at Nick and he was down on one knee with the ring in his hand.” How perfect is that?! AH! I cannot WAIT for these two to tie the knot this October! Enjoy a little peek into their charming engagement session!
