It is very rare that I schedule an entire weekend off from work but if I learned anything last year it is I need to make time to relax & spend time with my family so I can come back refreshed! I don’t think many people realize most wedding photographers work 7 days a week…. every week until the end of wedding season. Editing/ blogging all week & photographing Friday-Sunday. So, earlier this year I decided this past weekend I would take a little break! Friday, Eddie & I attended our friends Brent & Jodi’s wedding where we got to enjoy being a guest! It was so nice to sit back and let the day roll without having to pick up a single camera! (We took one picture, with my iPhone, I apologize for the awful quality!)
Saturday we got up at 6AM and headed to BWI- off to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! I am not the biggest fan of flying (although I do love everything about airports- the looks, the smell, the fast-paced vibe- Eddie says I’m weird but its fine! haha) This flight was less than a hour long so once we were up in the air for 20 minutes we were already preparing to land- talk about awesome! So much better than driving 10 hours!! We spent Saturday through Monday exploring Myrtle Beach, Surfside beach, Murrell’s Inlet, Pawley’s Island, & Gerogetown! Friday night we did hit the infamous “Marsh Walk” & Sunday evening we explored Broadway at the Beach! It was seriously the most relaxing/ fun weekends we’ve had in a long time! I cannot wait to go back at the end of this month- only 23 days but who is counting?! hehe
(Thank you so much Brian & Felicia for showing us around!!! We loved every second!)
