If you know me, you know I never have trouble finding the right words especially when it comes to my blogging but today is especially difficult to find an appropriate opening. Over the past 10 years I have built this business on my own, from the bottom up- 4 of those years, I have spent traveling up & down the East Coast every weekend capturing the most gorgeous weddings in my home state of Maryland. I have absolutely loved every second. UGH here come the tears.

They say, “There is an end to everything, to good things as well” and unfortunately, that’s now true with my travel. I have been going back & forth with when I would finally stop traveling for wedding season but after this past weekend dealing with the stress & uncertainty of Hurricane Florence I finally made the decision.

Next year, 2019, will be my last full year traveling back to Maryland for weddings.

It hurts my heart to write that. Over the past 9 years, I’ve served the MD/DC/VA community & have fallen in love with every couple I’ve worked with. This year so far has been filled with so many wonderful changes, the biggest being Eddie and I are welcoming two new babies into our family (Our adorable nephew, Noah, and our sweet niece, Baby M, who has yet to make her appearance!) Quality time is my love language & not being able to spend all the precious moments watching my family grow due to being away traveling really hurts my heart. At the end of the day, family is always my priority and I’m finally listening to that little voice inside thats saying, “It’s okay to slow down Lauren and appreciate what you have”

Don’t worry- I will be spending my entire wedding season in Maryland next year (hello 20 weddings!) but then I will be focusing solely on serving the Charleston/ Grand Strand area. I just want to say thank you to all the amazing couples in Maryland who have continuously sent me referrals & followed my journey. I LOVE all of my couples & I am thrilled to be focusing on expanding my little family to the Carolina’s.
