Good morning friends! Today’s blog post is a little different than my normal Friday wedding features and you’ll hear why in a little so keep reading… Meet Andrew & Cara! These two met 6 years ago, Labor Day Weekend in Dewey Beach. After years of having a long-distance relationship, due to Andrew being in the Marine Corps, Andrew decided to propose to Cara at Federal Hill overlooking the city. The rest was history! These two tied the knot this past Saturday at the Oaks Waterfront Inn with all their closest family & friends in attendance. You’re probably thinking to yourself… “This sounds pretty normal Lauren.” Well, this is where I tell you how incredible this couple really is.

I decided to take Andrew & Cara out for sunset portraits, so we headed to the front yard of the Oaks & started working our magic. Within minutes of us starting, we heard a car accident happen in the property next to the venue. Without hesitation, Andrew took off sprinting to go see how he could help. He was the first at the scene doing everything & anything he could to help the woman who was stuck in her car. Moments later friends & family came running from the venue to help Andrew. Although it was an extremely scary situation, it was the perfect example of how incredibly selfless & caring people can be. Andrew’s best man said it perfectly… On his wedding day, Andrew dropped everything to help someone he didn’t know. I can only imagine the lengths he’d go to be there for his beautiful wife.
